I'd get used to this line everyone. It's going to come up fairly often I fear.

Saying it’s early implies Oli doesn’t have his roster ready for the schedule.

Also where was Hererra today?

1 HR for church vs 2 hits for the rest of the lineup. Which of these seems like a potential anomaly and which one seems like incremental confirmation of previous expectations based on well documented prior performance?

Fernandez and Matthew’s won’t even be on the opening day roster why should we get used to something that isn’t going to happen lol but if youre determined to complain about something the first meaningless game of spring training is certainly a good place to start. You probably believe spring training stats and records mean something also don’t you lol but of course if the cardinals win the next game you will of course say it means nothing

Scott and Koperniak had 2025 spring training OPS of 1.172 and 1.039 .....

Hope not but Fernandez was around for Way too much of last year against all logic. So why is he even here and in game 1 when we could be getting Doyle and that 2nd good prospect from the 25 draft some meaningless experience?

Secondly, Washington also pitched guys who won’t be on the MLB rosters and those guys no hit what’s left of our lineup. Maybe says a wee tiny bit about quality of depth.

It means something only to those who want it to mean something but if the cards win tomorrow you will say it’s spring training and means nothing lol now that’s a certainty lol

I just got confirmation that it’s only the first ST game.

And we all know that once the regular season starts, all starters will continue to be pulled after 1 or 2 ABs, right?

I'll tell you what this rebuild is doing for sure, it without doubt is bringing the fair- weathered fans out in full force.
