Nathan Church!
Homers in his first ST at bat!
Re: Nathan Church!
He may be starting in LF. Possibly, platooning with Saggese.

Re: Nathan Church!
I posted a few times last year, so I’ll refresh the thought this year.
I’m not saying he’ll approach Jim Edmonds incredible ceiling, but if you compare Church’s and Edmonds’s MiLB trajectory and their ages when breaking into MLB, there are similarities.
I’m bullish on Church and believe he will at the very least be a very valuable 4th OFer. At best he could eventually be the Cardinals CF for the next 5 years or so.

Re: Nathan Church!
It’s just as likely he will be playing in AAA with Saggese to get more ABs to start the season.

Let's hope he is, this team could use a miracle at this point.Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 13:04 pm I posted a few times last year, so I’ll refresh the thought this year.

Are you the same poster that thinks JJ will be in AAA too?Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 13:06 pm It’s just as likely he will be playing in AAA with Saggese to get more ABs to start the season.
Re: Nathan Church!
Good start for the kid! Hope he can make it to the Show this year.

I think that’s his floor as well, which is fine
The Cards are overdue for a guy that just kinda comes out of nowhere in the system and becomes a full time starter.
If Scott didn’t learn anything about hitting in the offseason Church may get his chance soon enough

Re: Nathan Church!
I don’t think JJ will be in AAA. Cards don’t have much choice. Have to sell some tickets.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 15:20 pmAre you the same poster that thinks JJ will be in AAA too?Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 13:06 pm It’s just as likely he will be playing in AAA with Saggese to get more ABs to start the season.
I’m not the only one that thinks Church could be in the Mieners to start the season.

Re: Nathan Church!
“I expect Nathan Church to begin the season at AAA as the starting CF between Chase Davis in LF and Joshua Baez in RF, and Church should be the first man up if there is an injury to the outfield mix. Jimmy Crooks and Leo Bernal will split time at AAA and provide valuable depth to the big league club. IF Herrera is deemed not to be a capable MLB catcher early on (unlikely at this point), it might change the way Crooks’ 2026 season looks.”

Re: Nathan Church!
Nice homer by Church.
Gorman is batting .500
Libatore 4ks against 8 batters.
That’s the good.
JJ made an error. Back to AAA.
Walker got benched for looking off balance in BP.
Ollie didn’t scrape out runs. Bring in Yadi.
I’m just warming up for what I’ll read this season. lol

Nice to see the home run. He likely rotates over to left for Vic next game

So that wasn't you who said JJ would be in Memphis this year?Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 15:20 pmAre you the same poster that thinks JJ will be in AAA too?Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 13:06 pm It’s just as likely he will be playing in AAA with Saggese to get more ABs to start the season.
Re: Nathan Church!
We shall see if Church produces converts in 2026.
