Olympic hockey is a joke

Most countries around the world don't even play hockey. And TBH, only 4 countries at the beginning of the Olympics had a chance to win gold: Canada, U.S., Sweden and Finland. What a waste of time. Canada should have played the U.S. from the very beginning.

But then, the Winter Olympics as a whole are a joke. Norway is going to win the most medals. Countries frozen over a lot of the year have a huge advantage.

You're so close to getting it haha.

Maybe look into why the Norwegians actually win so many medals. You might learn something.

That's not my point at all. My point is that most of the world does not participate in these Winter Olympics events, including hockey. The event last year featuring four countries was far better.

I will say that curling is fun to watch. It is like shuffleboard on ice. Also a couple of more possible summer Olympics sports similar to curling that we can enjoy next time besides shuffleboard; croquet and bocce.

In my younger days, we'd have a beer-hockey tournament. After the games, we'd slide the 12-pack cubes (are those still around?) and "sweep" ice dust with sticks. Geesh, that never ended well!

Biathlon was badass too. Target shoot in a snowstorm after dragging (donkey) around on ski's. That takes skill.

I agree about curling. I have developed an appreciation for the sport this year. Plenty of skill and strategy needed to win. It really helps when you learn the game.

Those poor Norwegians have no shot at beating Ethiopians in a Marathon, nor beating Americans in a Hotdog Eating Contest.

I'm not talking about ice or northern climate. Then it would apply to Sweden, Finland, etc. This is specific to Norway.

Name the Brazilian, Australian or Indian bobsled teams.

So you can't bring yourself to do any research - only want to complain. Obviously what I'm talking about is specific to the winter Olympics so sure, being a cold climate helps. That must explain why Norway has 37 medals and Sweden, with about double the population, has 16. Yep, you've blown the case wide open.

what's kinda baffling is how Norway could never figure out hockey.
