Best Potential Trade Teams for Blues

Post by callitwhatyouwant »

Here's an interesting question. Blues have a variety of guys who can or should be traded. They feel like they are underachieving and they were hit by the injury bug. Which teams make the most sense to trade with? For me, the two I would be talking to with "retooling rosters" would be Ottawa and Toronto. It seems those two teams seem to be sitting in the same spot the Blues are.

As far as teams that could benefit from a couple Blues players and have a prior relationship? Seems like Detroit is the answer there.

Who else would you guys be talking to from a history perspective or stuck in the same spot?

For me, it’s Carolina and Montreal….maybe the Kings too.

Detroit and Montreal would be a good trade partners. Toronto's prospects don't excite me. I am not super excited about Boston and I know there is smoke there with Faulk.

I think it’s Thomas + for Misa. #2 overall Centers don’t come cheap.

The Islanders might be an intriguing location for Kryou as well.

difference is; we know what Thomas is in the NHL; Misa looks good, but will he be Thomas good. Thomas as a number two in San Jose would be a crazy get for them. So it's probably a Thomas straight up for Misa IF I really think about it (or Misa and a pick type thing).

Obviously, just spitballing and JMO. At least Misa is a center as well.

and LGB!

For trading partner, I would like it to be a team that has been drafting high for many years. We will get their weakest (like Bergren from Detroit), but the prospect spillover is still better than what most teams have.

And Kyrou would waive NTC to Islanders because why?

Because he’s open to leaving and the Islanders are currently in the playoffs.
