The at-large bid is definitely on life support. The only game left they can afford to lose and still get that at-large is the conference tourney final and they still have 2 tough road games left at Dayton and George Mason.

SLU actually had a better shooting % for the game, but Rhode Island had 28 points off of 16 SLU turnovers and the RI guard (Hinton) had the game of his life with 9 three-pointers. 6 missed free throws didn't help, either.

Such is life in the mid-majors. One loss can put a huge damper on what would otherwise be a stellar season. Will be a massively missed opportunity if they don't get to the NCAA after the start the team has had.

Will be interesting to see how this loss affects their NET and AP Poll rankings.
