Really hope this isn’t the game we regret no Caufield or Robertson on the roster

I dunno if anything it feels like they're getting outmuscled by Sweden right now.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑18 Feb 2026 14:55 pm Really hope this isn’t the game we regret no Caufield or Robertson on the roster

Beauty of a tip there by Larkin. Markstrom was way too deep, but that's typical for him.

The lack of atmosphere/energy in the crowd for these big games has certainly taken away a lot of excitement for me. I know Italy isn’t a hockey country but it’s still Europe.
I wonder if the 11,000 cap rink priced out too many fans. I can imagine a lot of VIP and suits taking up combined with the wealthy fans taking up most of the tickets.

It's like watching an NHL playoff game in Canada. Most of the crazy rabbid fans are priced out. It's so quiet in a lot of those rinks until a goal happens. Even then I think Columbus / Carolina is way louder when they are in the playoffs.stlblue06 wrote: ↑18 Feb 2026 15:37 pm The lack of atmosphere/energy in the crowd for these big games has certainly taken away a lot of excitement for me. That penalty looked like when you use the poke check button too much in an EA game.

Part is the sound quality, obviously Italy not a hockey country and this is not true hockey arena.Hooking wrote: ↑18 Feb 2026 15:55 pmIt's like watching an NHL playoff game in Canada. Also comparison with playoff game is odd as there are fans from both teams but due to scheduling also no fan knew which team was playing when… so you see lots of neutral fans as well.
