What are your thoughts ? Has he found something ? He sure seems enthused but as the saying goes 'talk is cheap ' .

I do give him credit for apparently working dilligently to make changes but will we see a different Jordan Walker in 2026 ?
One thing we do know, this is his final shot with the Cardinals . Either he shows improvement or Bloom is going to dump him during or after this season .

I am really rooting for Walker to break out this year. But, he may need to earn starts and ABs. The Cards have to get better in the OF. They don’t have the luxury of giving him a free pass, like last year. Some time at MEM may be in order.

He’s not going to have to battle for anything. Marmol already said the job is his even though he has poor stats in spring training.
People that talk about extended spring training and sending him to AAA are losing focus that this season isn’t about winning the World Series.

Question to the board- if Walker laid off the sweeper, he would become…….

No change
Acceptable

If he can learn better pitch recognition, the rest of his swing metrics say he's a stud. See how I changed the wording? If all he does is lay off the outside pitch without actually recognizing the spin, they will just find another way to get him out.

Nice response. So there is a chance. More thought. Other than the high fastball laying off the sweeper is a tough chore.

I confess I ignore this stuff. Like the "best shape of my life" spring comments. Let his bat do the talking and if he hits 750 OPS or better I'll be a fan,

They do have that luxury bc they’re not competing for anything this season. Walker is the starting RFer on opening day sans an injury.

Laying off + ABS = potential stud. I think ABS could help him tremendously. He’s had his issues for sure, but I also think his issues have been compounded by unfair calls due to his zone being called lower than it actually should. I think there’s hope because he doesn’t seem like a head case. Hope his confidence isn’t shot because he has all the physical talent necessary to succeed.

Right, this season is about, hoping that square pegs can become round holes. We will see how well it works, though the last couple of years have not made me optimistic.

IMO, As long as 90% of his batted balls continue to be pulled to the left side - he will continue to disappoint
