2026 Cardinal Third Baseman performance vs Arenado
Bottom line who performs better Cards 3b Gorman, etc. or Arenado?

I'm going with Arenado. I just don't trust Gorm to hold the side up. He might put up better numbers with the bat, but not enough to offset what we're losing on D.
Still, trading Arenado was the right move.

Bottom line is right. More like skid row. You’re comparing a GG player, fringe HOF, to Gorman. Not fair.kscardsfan wrote: ↑15 Feb 2026 10:13 am Bottom line who performs better Cards 3b Gorman, etc. or Arenado?

Well, maybe that isn't quite fair. We are not comparing Norman to Nado in his prime. We all know that we would rather watch an older Nado in the field over stormin' Norman, but offensively, both would be frustrating to watch and I am not sure the Gorman doesn't have a better offensive year than Nado. Not that either would be great at the plate unless Gorman really surprises us all (except for the uniKKKorn whisperer Mel).sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑15 Feb 2026 10:18 amBottom line is right. I look for Arenado's performance to be noticeably better this season, if for no other reason than hitting in the ballpark in Arizona is much better than Busch Stadium. He also might be part a deeper lineup. He could have other bounceback things like better health, playing closer to home, playing on a more veteran team, and playing for a contender. My prediction is that his OPS+ will be above average. I feel pretty confident in saying that. It could also happen for Gorman, but I'm not comfortable predicting that. I don't think you could necessarily say that the numbers Arenado puts up in Arizona are the same numbers he would have put up in St Louis. It was time to go.

I think Cards 3b WAR, will surpass Nado's. I don't think Nado makes 95 games started
