Why give Barrett a free pass as he was horrible last night. During the Texas run midway through the second half, he twice took the ball all by himself into their 7 footer and put up impossible shots, then threw lob pass at the top of backboard, then has ridiculous turn over at mid court. It went from a 1 pt game to a 10 pt game in a blink of the eye. He was just trying to do too much instead of taking what the defense gave him and use his team mates.

Because he has played well down the stretch, whereas Pierce has had one memorable game. That said, he wasn't good last night, but not many were.

People have been touting Pierce since he got here as a cornerstone type player and hss been nothing more than a disappointment.

TO has come onto the scene the last month or so because another supposed star has gone south.

If this team makes the tournament it will because of Barretts emergence not because of Pierce leading the way.

Because he has played well down the stretch, whereas Pierce has had one memorable game. That said, he wasn't good last night, but not many were.

Good point. The one thing about Barrett is he really on has played 5 good games in his career and they happen to be right in a row (minus the last 2). That gave people hope that he unlocked another gear in his game. Now he needs to look for maintaining that level of play. Let’s see who contributes down the stretch.
