Missouri-Texas

Post by dhsux »

I see this as a really close game with a lot at stake for both teams. Both are coming in with 3 game win streaks on the line and both need to rack up as many wins as possible to get off the bubble.

For those who have followed Texas, how similar are these two teams?

A 4 conference win streak for Missouri would definitely be a statement and I'd have to say the same for Texas.

I'm interested in seeing how Phillips and Mitchell deal with their 7 foot as Lithuanian center.

Swain is their best player at 6-8 and playing guard? 17 PPG, 7 boards per game, 57% FGs. Not a great 3 shooter, though. But that's a tough matchup. I see Pierce as his most likely defender?

Based on similar numbers, Mitchell is going to be a tough match up for the Horns.

Texas doesn’t have good defense but can score in niches. Mizzou needs to play a controlled game and hit our shots. This is going to really put the team who loses in a tough spot as both are bubble teams.

Phillips again out of control. Throwing elbows around. Flagrant foul.

phillips wastes no time negating the good showing he had in the last game. 2 fouls in 3 minutes.

Not sure he should have got a second technical also. He may not make it to half.

Has anyone ever fouled out before the first time-out break? If they had called all of Phillips', he would have. He "set" an obvious moving screen too. He must not like the European.
We're lookin' good so far!!

What the F is Robinson doing? Drives baseline, could've attacked the rim and just dribbled on by, then drives into traffic the next time and forces up a terrible shot.
