LOL....$100 dollars a season to watch this pitiful effort at fielding a competitive team. They can obviously shove it.
$100 to watch pretty much every game is very affordable. I pay almost $100 a month for Fubo to basically watch the Cardinals. This is a much better option.

Agreed. I actually just slashed my fubo tv to the lowest plan and added Cardinals.tv for $99, which will end up saving me a lot of money. The only reason I didn't have the lowest plan was for the Cardinals.

Ok. No one is making you I guess. 60 cents a game isn’t bad to me.
You're just justifying their actions by buying it. If that's okay with you then fine, but I believe in making a statement with my dollars. They put up then I put up, they don't then I don't.

I have DirecTv and have been watching Cardinals games on channel 671 for years. What do I need to do to make it happen this year?

Shouldn’t there be a very simple fact sheet….PDF….detailing at least the channel options for the St. Louis metro area. I understand it may be more complicated outside this Region but home town fans have no clue where they’ll watch Opening Day in a 1.5 months….

The lady we talked with from DirecTV kept saying they would be on 671 and had no idea what is going on.

They are saying they will tell us in March. Rude, unprofessional, embarrassing? Yes. Should they have seen this coming? Yes.

Cardinals and Blues have a monopoly and that allows them to run their businesses very badly while patting themselves on the back. If they were in a truly competitive industry they would change or fail.

Right now they are figuring out how much they can hose potential viewers for. The Cardinals stand to lose about $40 million a year for TV rights compared to what they were supposed to get from the RSN agreement. They are trying to figure out how much of that they can get out of your wallet.

I think it would be hysterical if fans did not sign up for the first month or so. Radio is free and there will be games on KMOV and the oddball channel that you have to use an antenna for unless you have Spectrum- which I refuse to have based on prior experience.

Ok. That's your choice.
I enjoy watching the Cardinals daily and enjoy watching baseball, so I will be watching.

FanDuel is closing the STL office in April so it seems unlikely they will have anything to do with the Blues next season either.

What an epic failure.

Lowest cost plan on Fubo was $55/month. I still get all the Mizzou/SLU games and haven't yet noticed not being able to watch something I usually watch.

And the geniuses choose to field the worst least appealing team in my lifetime at the same time their requiring fans to perform a Where’s Waldo search in order to watch their games….. ::crazya:: ::crazya::

When you consider how badly they failed on multiple fronts it is epic. They were protected for years by the monopoly which allowed them to survive. The old "family owned" business model also allowed them to drift along making bad decision after bad decision. Ultimately conditions beyond their control kicked in and you see the colossal cluster that we are seeing.

It's impossible to believe that anyone with any business sense thought the fees that the Regional Sports Networks paid for TV rights were sustainable based on subscriptions and advertising. I'm sure the Cardinals and many other teams thought "not my problem" but hey it is now!

We just talked to another lady from DirecTV and she said streaming is the only way to watch the Cardinals at this time. But also said that may change.

My questions: what the hell are the Cardinals doing? This should have been ironed out where people could view the games even if did cost with streaming.
