Why would they make it a secret like some high school girl? Don’t bother saying it if you’re not going to give full details……

From living in his car to living a dream -- and he wants to be ready.
I doubt he makes the team, but you have to give him huge credit.

He seemed to hit okay. He's got that singles stroke to right like Molina had. I wouldn't mind him playing some.

Interesting.
Does in increase his mobility and defensive value?
And does it detract from his power - which was his only calling card?
Obviously, he knows he is rumbling with Crooks for 2nd catcher role and doubtless that was one motivation for his weight loss.
Power? He wasn't particularly noted for power per se. ISOs ok but OBAs and OPSs in minors more noteworthy.

I don't know why he wouldn't be about as good a hitter, if not better, since he's now in better shape.
Some hefty players generate their power from their weight and never have had to learn how to generate power otherwise. Then when they lose significant weight, they have a hard time trying to figure out where their ability to drive the ball went.

This isn’t always true, but I’ve seen it quite a bit.

Also, the pics look like a lot more than 33 lbs

In 245 PA's across 2 seasons, he had 6 HR and 12 doubles.
That bit of power is pretty much his only hit tool and allowed him to have a few moments.
Otherwise, his .248/.258 isn't going to play much anywhere.

Good advice.
The guy has drawn 10 BB's in 245 PA's.
One of the wildest, free swingers I have ever seen.
Yes, he connects with enough hard hit to do damage every now and then.
But beyond that, there is nothing at all to his offensive contribution.

Nice job Pozo! I enjoyed watching him as a hitter. Very tough to strike out and good in a pinch!

Molina lost weight in 2015 and it was one of his worst seasons ever. He had higher ops 8 seasons prior and 4 seasons after.

Good question Mel. I think it most certainly has a chance to take away from his power. We've seen this in Baseball with Pitchers and in Golf with driving and iron distance.

I seriously doubt losing 30 pounds will affect his power. He will probably get around faster on pitches as well.
And now he is a base stealing threat:)

I just alerted the FBI.
Someone kidnapped 45 and is impersonating him.
