CFN looks at Missouri's 2026 FB schedule

Post by jcgmoi »

Only seven home games this year. They also have just a single open week. That's down from two last year and standard across the conference. AI says it's because there are only 13 Saturdays in the standard playing window because Labor Day (September 7) falls later.

They pick up Texas and Georgia, miss Alabama, LSU, and Tennessee.

CFN says the conference opener in Starkvile will be key:
The Bulldogs will be far more dangerous, and this is a home game they're going to need to have a good year. Missouri has to take this home in the SEC opener, or else.
No team wants the 'or else'.

Of course Hail State will be far more dangerous.

They couldn't be anything else.

Looks like a 5-0 start to me with all the momentum going into the A@M showdown.

They going to run Roberts and Hardy in the same backfield this year?

Could help the schedule if they do.

Can either run/lead block? In a two back set up, they have to block for each other. Most offensive sets today are designed for one back. Why? Because it allows for either extra receiver or blocker. Using a two back set doesn’t really increase the number of carries for either. Now, back to my original question: can they block? It’s not something either have been asked to do in a long time, if ever.

Why would Florida at home be considered a loss?

What a shallow analysis. Worthless.
