I wouldn't hate it. He's not going to light the world on fire, but that's why he'd be a 4th/5th outfielder.VegasVinny wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 09:25 amGoold alluded to Randal Grichuk in the chat yesterday and Jeff Jones mentioned him by name in a BND report. Re: McCutchen
I think it's a fair bet that wherever he signs (outside of reuniting in Pittsburgh) won't be the same place he ends the season. No contender is going to offer him a job as their plan A or B at this point. But there might be an opportunity to find a reserve role for one at the deadline.rockondlouie wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 09:20 am Read that suggestion too on RR.
Doubt he wants to end his career on a rebuild and he's always seemed to have a dislike for the Cardinals (likely due t the fact they beat the snoot out of the Pirates almost his entire career).
I don't see the fit.
If Bloom is dead set on adding a RH OF, I'd probably take Cutch over Pham or Grichuk personally.

I’m sure AM can give a [fork] if the cards used to kick the pirates butt 15 years ago…rockondlouie wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 09:20 am Read that suggestion too on RR.

If you wanted a teacher why not a young one. 3 Batting Titles and only 28 yrs old. Just signed 1 yr for 12 mil. Left handed but hit lefties pretty good too.
