I absolutely love that the ski team is already off to a terrible start.
Good riddance.

Because they won gold and Vonn could have been on the podium as well?

Mikaela Shiffrin will likely Gold. Alex Ferrarira has a shot in free-style. Jaelen Kauff will likely gold in Moguls. Jessie Diggins will likely Gold in Cross Country. The US Ski team will out-medal every country and it'll be by a large margin.

Being good looking is such an advantage in everything.
Especially for a woman.

She was a badass competitive skier and is incredibly accomplished. Kudos to her, she gave it her all. Hopefully her surgeries are successful, and she can spend the rest of her life skiing pow pow and not worrying about training etc.

Heck of an athlete.
Always rumored to be a terrible person, but sometimes you gotta be a B to keep going I guess.
Congrats on an impressive career.

No different than any other alpha competitor. Be it on the slopes, the field, or the boardroom.Sunny's Teeth wrote: ↑09 Feb 2026 10:41 am Heck of an athlete.

I know why she went through with it, but personally I feel the USOC should have jumped in after the accident and told her she couldn't go. It should have gone to a younger skier who wasn't injured. Vonn can easily retire on her endorsements.

Re: OT: RIP Lindsey Vonn’s skiing career
Eh that depends on what type of skiing. The US usually does very well in the Freestyle categories. They haven't won the most medals in the Alpine events since 2010, but they have a strong team this year. They're never a real threat in Cross-Country, at least not team-wide.TraveledLessRoad wrote: ↑08 Feb 2026 16:07 pm Mikaela Shiffrin will likely Gold. Alex Ferrarira has a shot in free-style.
