Hey Jack... did you mean Hot Tuna or You Can Tune a Piano But You Can't Tuna Fish?
Tuna, Nine Lives, HiFi, Good Trouble (kinda, not really), Wheels, great string of records. Same for Styx until Kilroy. And Rush. And Journey.

Having said that, truly, the amount of great "new" rock music the past 20 years is overwhelming: Red Sun Rising, Shinedown, Sleep Token, Seether, A Perfect Circle, anything with Chris Cornell, etc.

I listened to old stuff either through nostalgia or forced from canned music at grocery store!

... and to think that when they took to the road, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham sang about their relationship in front of the world.

...packing up and shacking up is all you want to do ...

Now here you go again
You say you want your freedom
Well, who am I to keep you down?
It's only right that you should
Play the way you feel it
But listen carefully
To the sound of your loneliness
Like a heartbeat drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering what you had
And what you lost
And what you had
And what you lost

Mick Fleetwood's wife was having an affair. The McVies were getting a divorce. Steve and Lindsey were breaking up. Thus the title Rumors.

Great title. I didn't get it at first.

I agree with everyone. Rumors and Boston's debut album are two of my favorites. The Grand Illusion is my favorite Styx album. I'll throw out another title. Heartbeat City from The Cars is still played at my house. Finally, it doesn't seem to fit this thread but you can't have a greatest album discussion from this era without mentioning Thriller from Michael Jackson. Not my favorite but you can't deny the greatness of the album.

I would agree.
The first Boston album to me is top 3 all time. Just 8 songs total and everyone knows them because everyone played the album 24/7 when it came out.

Very underrated album but one of my faves….is Asia’s “Alpha”. It was their second album with”Don’t Cry” on it. Not near as popular as their debut album…but I liked it much more.
My favorite Asia song is Rock and Roll Dream on my favorite album Astra. Their album Phoenix has a couple of my favorites called Never Again and An Extraordinary Life. Highly recommend checking them out on YouTube.

Kinda like Harry S Deals, it's almost impossible. I played music for about 50 yrs. until I couldn't any more. (Pain in hands) But All the stuff you guys are saying, I agree with. There's a couple I'll have to play to see if ring a bell. Loved Moby - Extreme ways from Bourne series. It just kept getting better.

As a huge REO fan, the Live album is their best by a country mile.

As far as the earlier posts about Boston’s debut, it WAS great until radio beat it to death for the last 50 years. I much prefer Don’t Look Back now. Tunes like, Used to Bad News, A Man I’ll Never Be, Party, Feelin Satisfied, great stuff.

Link?
Ha ha, nicely played.

Yes, a great album along with the prior one called Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey Buckingham changed that band dramatically and unleashed the talents of Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie.

Love Ms Badu. Have played "Tyrone" for my daughters after a bad breakup.

Wow, if we count Friday, that's a lot. Every year Spotify gives me a ribbon on my Wrapped because i play full albums, and, Spotify is always on at work.

NWA - Straight Outta Compton
The Cult - Love
The Cult - Elecric
The Cult - Sonic Temple (still an all time great to me)
Mammoth - Mammoth I
Mammoth - Mammoth II
Mammoth - The End (incredible, actually all 3 are)
Van Halen - Women And Children First
Van Halen - Fair Warning
Van Halen - 1984
Van Halen - 5150
Van Halen - For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge
Rush - A Farewell To Kings
Rush - Moving Pictures
Rush - Signals
Rush - Presto
Rush - Roll The Bones
Rush - Counterparts
Faith No More - The Real Thing (great album)
Everclear - So Much For The Afterglow
Ozzy - No Rest for The Wicked
Ozzy - No More Tears (his best IMHO)
Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street
Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet
Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers (I will argue the best 4 album run in rock history, including LZ 1,2,3 and 4)

I'm stuck at work now so the list will get longer

I'm listening to a live recording of theirs from 1979 right now during the Nine Lives tour. Richrath was just amazing. REO from 1977 until 1982 were hands down the best live performers out there. Don't get me started on that dreadful Wheels album...

My question is there a bad Asia album? The exception for me would be Payne singing after Wetton passed.
