Yes he doesn't take many jumpers but TO isn't going to the show anyway. at best you will see him in China or some other second tier foreign place. But what he is is a BB player who is effective attacking the rim and finishing.

That's the thing about Ant while he can't hit a Trey to save his life he is effective with the midrange jumper.

so what he isn't your classic 3 point maniac, he is still effective running the team when he is in there and lets Ant slide to 2 and hopefully finds his Trey shot again where last year had a high %. But the book on TO is to back off and let him shoot which is fine if he makes them. There isn't a rule that it counts less now does it?

so go whine somewhere else they are better when he is playing and his outstanding D is a huge bonus.
Hunter, first off, and don't take this the wrong way, but if when you played you "had no effective jumper", you probably should have been participating in a different sport, maybe race-walking or bowling for instance. Second, I'm not sure what a big mary (with a rogue apostrophe for added emphasis?) is, but if you were referencing my well thought-out comments, you didn't understand them. I didn't say he shouldn't be playing, to the contrary I articulated all the stuff that IMO, he does extremely well. I simply pointed out that it is hard to understand how someone with his skills and after playing basketball for years, can't execute the most basic of basketball scoring moves, that of making a jump shot.

I was glad to see your comment about Ant's mid-range jumper. It seems to me this is one the most glaring issues with the Tiger offense. They have virtually no mid-range game. it's not that they can't shoot it. Virtually every guy out there can be effective with it, especially Ant, Stone, Mack (that's supposedly his best game), Pierce, and Crews. They can all hit that pull-up mid-range jumper, but they rarely do it. Mizzou seems committed to, for the most part, hit the three or go all the way to the basket. I believe they could really hurt teams if they added more of the mid-range to their game.-

Another myopic poster putting Mizzou on an island.

Go look at shot charts of every other team in the country, and you will see the 10-15 footer is virtually non-existent.
