I think there are more people talking about people drawing conclusions than there are people drawing conclusions in this thread.blues2112 wrote: ↑05 Feb 2026 19:56 pm No established evidence, but opinions from some random dude either convicts or exonerates.
Amazing how many conclusions are formed without substantiated data.
Reminds me of an exercise my second-grade art teacher gave us. She gave each of us a random swirl, and our task was to create a picture.

Draft him, and pay off his legal bills. Would have done the same thing if someone went after my mom, then followed us after and kept going at it. You can try and give the high and mighty “words don’t give you the right” bull***t. This guy waits outside the bar and follows, that’s all the provocation I need.

This thread is a microcosm of this fan base lmao.. everyone thinks we play to soft. Future top 2 pick breaks a dudes jaw for calling him mom a wh_re half the thread is ready to end his career and send him to prison..
Hell I even want Stenberg over the kid but people need to grow a pair. If you wouldn't defend your moms honor in the same situation I wouldn't want you in my fanbase anyway... let alone the future star player of my team.
Chivarly> politically correct

If he harassed a drunken man, then punched him, and punched him again while he was falling breaking his jaw, he will do time. This is now said to happen in a parking garage. Because he is hiding behind his momma's skirt indicates he is guilty as Hades.

This happened near the entrance to a parking garage. It appears it was on camera so we will eventually get more details.MrPostman01 wrote: ↑06 Feb 2026 05:55 am If he harassed a drunken man, then punched him, and punched him again while he was falling breaking his jaw, he will do time. Also need to take into account officers charge everything and let the process sort it out. Their role is more to capture anything they can support and pass it on. We have to see what comes from the District Attorney.

If you lived in any college town this is an all too common weekend event involving drunk college students. I am not approving of the actions. Trying to be clear there is a big difference between the charges and the actions that may happen next.
I think the big outcome here is I presume he will be done in the NCAA.

Re: McKenna to Prison
For this case to continue as a felony there has to be a determination by the da that a felony occurred and gavin was not justified in using force as self defense to counter a threat of imminent physical force to either his mom or gavin himself. Then the da has to justify that charging decision by establishing probable cause either through a pc hearing before a judge or through a grand jury true bill vote. Unless there is clear evidence that this guy with the broken jaw was the aggressor (which the initial investigation seems not to have established) this case is going to continue especially given the seemingly established injuries of the alleged victim.

And that will end the debate on who’s going first overall. The Canucks, Flames, Rangers or Blues should rush to the stage to draft this kid…although I guess they should rush the pick to to the announcer since the NHL jacked up the draft.
