A year ago, the Detroit Tigers could boast Major League Baseball's top one or two farm systems, depending on the national outlet.

A year later, the Tigers aren't likely to be at the top of the heap anymore, but they remain among the best. Baseball America on Wednesday released its farm-system rankings for 2026, slotting the Tigers in at No. 4. They are the only franchise to feature two top-10 overall prospects in shortstop Kevin McGonigle (No. 2) and outfielder Max Clark (6),

They just signed (arbitration) Tarik Skubal today and Framber Valdez yesterday (arguably the #1 and #2 starting LHPs in MLB) and picked up RHP Drew Anderson from Korea.

They should be having a vast improvement over 2025.
