Bruins are super young. They are still in a retooling phase, but will make the playoffs.

Doubt we get as much as we think, but guessing there are different options based on retention:

Lohrei & worst of Bruins/Leafs 2026 1st (50% retention) - doubtful but best possible, take and run
Peeke & worst of Bruins/Leafs 2026 1st (50% retention) - doubtful but next best, take it
Peeke, 2026 2nd, 2026 4th from TBL (50% retention) - more likely in line, still take it if no other team outbidding
Lohrei & 2026 4th from TBL (50% retention) - closer value in Boston's eyes
Peeke and 4th from TBL (25% retained) - probably pass
Poitras and 2nd (25% retained) - probably pass

I could go on and on, but I will say that even at 50% retention, we aren't getting anywhere near what they were offering for Andersson. And these are just based on the rumored guys. Don't know much about many of their other prospects, so this was more to try and project value.

Since the Blues won the Cup in '18-'19 Boston has Boston is 8th in the NHL in Playoff Games won with 38 (no Cup), the Blues are 10th with 27 wins. So....who cares? Over that 7 year span Boston has 47 more regular season wins than the Blues without a lot of this, this year. Right now today i think i take the Blues farm system vs Bostons. Boston has Minten and Khusnutdinov and thats it on their current roster producing under 25 yrs old. So two franchises in different phases one has a Cup in the last 16 yrs
