Re: Benn looked offsides on GWG
I aint holding out hope for the team. But the Kyrou/Buchy/neighbours line has been a breath of fresh air. What I'm looking for is seeing some kind of top line develop with Hollywood/Thomas/Snuggy. If there is a world after the Olympics where those 2 lines become a real thing. I'm OK with the team getting something going. The 3rd line is going to be a Blender next year of DVO and then either a Stenberg or Carbs/ and then I'd imagine Schenn or Suter, whoever doesn't get dealt. Don't really care what happens there other than hoping DVO stays healthy the rest of the way. It is probably important to find out what Stenberg is, so he will hopefully have 30 games under his belt by the end of the year.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑05 Feb 2026 10:11 am Anyone still holding out hope for this team is missing a chromosome or something. You can't find ways to lose like this if you're trying.
This org is destined for McKenna or the Stenberg Empire. Embrace it and enjoy!![]()
The odd man out in all this is Berrgren. I don't know where they find space for him unless they treat him like Texier where they give him a 2 year extension as a pressbox / middle 6 guy competing with Stenberg/Carbs. Suter if they keep him can be flexed to the 4th line, but that's not what he signed up for. If that happened, I'd imagine the team would try to skill it up next year and have 4 lines with no checking line.
Anyways. There is something to watch moving forward. I don't care where they finish, but for the sake of Snuggs/Dvo/Broberg/LM/Hofer/Hollywood/Neighbours/Stenberg/ all young guys under the age of 24, I don't want to see them develop losing ways. That is a dangerous place to be in

Not to mention that common sense tells you that the guy with the puck isn’t scoring from where he was on the wall.ManitobaBlues wrote: ↑05 Feb 2026 09:11 amYou’re right — there was a lot more going on than just an offside or not. Everyone was stacked on one side of the ice, puck-watching like it was a warm-up drill. Sticks reaching, guys poking at the puck, but nobody stepping up and taking the body.
That’s not structure breaking down — that’s hesitation. Dallas was engaging, finishing checks, separating man from puck. The Blues were reacting, not asserting. You don’t win battles by spectating, and that entire sequence looked like five guys hoping the puck would just come loose on its own.
