Wonder if this portends future moves after last night’s game?

Re: Blues waive Johannesson
Dude makes $870k a year? wtf. That's more than Walker, Fabbri, and Kessel, and about in the range of Mailloux and Tucker. I would have guessed a number much lower than that. I can't even remember how the Blues aquired him, tbh...did we sign him to a FA contract?
At any rate, interesting.

Re: Blues waive Johannesson
Makes very little sense why his contract is larger than most rookie contracts.

He plays in Springfield. He was placed on waivers for contract termination. Seems like a strange move for the blues but it’s possible that he wants to terminate the contract.

Re: Blues waive Johannesson
He's already signed with Frolunda in the SHL...probably just wanted to go back to Sweden
Re: Blues waive Johannesson
How will history remember the Samuel Johannesson era?
Re: Blues waive Johannesson
He only would of made that if he was in the NHL. On the 2 way contract, he makes AHL salary of 82.5k.sneptsmoustache wrote: ↑03 Feb 2026 13:18 pm Dude makes $870k a year? wtf. IIRC him and one other Swede were signed at the same time. The other was a forward. Had a cup of coffee with the Blues but never panned out. Don’t think Johannesson ever got a call up.

Bro's agent is Claude lemiuex?
No wonder he couldn't get an nhl contract
Wait... everyone still hates Claude lemiuex, right?

He was the other Swede they signed last season, they got rid of the other one last season Sylvegard.
