Kyrou/Buchy/Neighbours Best Line?
It's not been 6 games since Buchy at Center. Buchy has 8 points in 6. Kyrou has 9 points in 6. And neighbours has 5 in 6. Is this line turning into an actually number 2 line of the future? If that's the case, the vision for moving forward becomes a little more clear. I don't know if you can run it back with the same core, as something is clearly troubling this group. But this is the first iteration we have had of those 3 players. Mainly because of Buchy playing center. But we haven't seen this kind of goal output from those 3 in a long time. All above career averages. Something is clicking there.

I've been really impressed at Buch's wall side presence, he was pretty much always in the bumper position when playing wing in the O zone (stationary for the most part). He has shown his hockey IQ much more prominently this time around and in my opinion we are seeing that his anticipation on when to defer and/or drive the net is better than I had thought.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑03 Feb 2026 10:06 am It's not been 6 games since Buchy at Center. He for sure looks like the 2nd best center on the team right now over this last little experiment. If we had Thomas/Buch/Suter/Dvorsky as top 9 center depth for next year with one of them flexing to wing I think that would bode well for us over 82.

Seems like they broke this line up to try and protect the lead last night and it had less than desirable results.

This needs to be their 2nd line for right now. Leave it be unless there's injuries to those guys. It works.
It's also a good opportunity to try other wingers with Thomas when he's back.
Also gives other guys looks with DD.
It's good all around.

It's not that they figured it out.
It was Buch having a different responsibility and a little freedom to get it done.
Once a couple of mistakes end in the back of our net. Defense will again be stressed to Buch. Management will again pass the word to blame Kyrou, and Neighbours will move to the top line.
But as of now. They are allowed to play offense.
