Interesting name, Cijntje. Is that Italian?

Post by BrummerStealsHome »

Funny, but the very first thought (OK, second thought) which came into my head when I read about the trade this morning was how much I miss Mike Shannon. I have yet to hear Cijntje pronounced, properly or improperly, but you could have bet the farm Shannon would have struggled with it, mightily and comically.

Amsinger pronounces it "Sain-ja" at the :10 mark. No idea if it's correct if incorrect.

Yep. He’s from Dutch Curaçao in the Caribbean. Pronounced “Sain-juh”
