A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Post by todd-parker »

Show has earned a spot in the weekly rotation. Another George RR Martin adaptation from the Game of Thrones universe. More heart and humanity and less scheming and plotting than you find in Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. Actor and former rugby player, Peter Claffey, seems to be a perfect fit for the role of Ser Duncan the Tall - a character mentioned several times in the original Game of Thrones series. Recommend.

Absolutely love it! It is a great show, and shows you a GOT world that is outside the Kings & Queens and rich people. I have been excited about this for awhile, mainly because a couple people who's opinions I trust said that the stories/books were the best outside of the main GOT novels. They loved the books.

My only small complaint, only 6 episodes and all are less than an hour (I think). But yeah, great show, comedy, heart, action...it has it all. Highly recommend.

Is this going to be another show where George R. R. Martin doesn’t finish because he doesn’t feel like working and then people (buzz) about the conclusion?

Don't see that being an issue here. The tv series is just following the 3 completed novellas that recount the adventures of the main characters of the show. Each season will just be one complete story.

Martin has said that would like to write more stories in this series but that it would have to wait until he finishes 'Winds of Winter'. In other words, we won't be getting any more Dunk and Egg books.
