from man coverage to zone? Did Monty go to zone when we got the lead like a prevent defense? Do we lose track of the other team's players and get hemmed our d-zone in a zone?

They definitely were back on their heels. TBH, I have a whole lot of concerns about Monty right now. He seems absolutely flummoxed on everything either this team. With the exception of a 15 game span he has been suspect at best as coach.

They were 100% doing man coverage in the 3rd period for the 2nd ROR goal. It looked so bad and was thinking the needed to go to zone coverage. Fowler floated out by the point, Joseph got beat…..Monty sucks but this team is so (bleep) soft.

Yes-it was post game too when Alex talked about joey pointing out that the Blues played man to man, then switched off to zone defense ..I thought he said AFTER Nashville made it 5-3…and then switched back. That is one reason I think that a veteran like Fowler must be super frustrated & messing up so much this season if the coaches cannot keep a strategy going. I’m confused trying to relay what I heard

I think outside of Monty, big changes are coming to that staff. Ott heading to Springfield was just the start. They are also in deep need of a Maroon, Reaves, Foligno type that drags his teammates into the battle. They don’t have that currently. Schenn tries, but I get the idea he is a lead by example guy, when they probably need someone willing to get into someone’s grill when necessary, Ala Borts and Sanford.
