staff filled every need except a Edge proven stud and an outstanding OT. Good news is still can add players so we shall see if Eli does his thing and brings in a guy who can really put pressure on QB or play OT very well.
it's all paper now, we shall see how it turns out in fall camp.
TP class was solid still could be additions

They're no one in the portal that's guaranteed starter either on the Oline or at DE.

I give time portal class a B for its near term effectiveness. I think it has the potential for an A- in long term potential because we got quite a few good players in key areas with at least two years of eligibility. Of course that grade depends heavily on keeping them.HoopsGuruII wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 15:25 pmLikely not, but we will see how this post ages from now until the season is underway!

totally agree that CJ and ND safety, FL WR and MI CB all have great talent and potential to go with the more experienced players added.onemizzou wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 16:57 pmI give time portal class a B for its near term effectiveness. Need to see more of their HS pickups being coached up to be effective rotation contributors.

Yeah, I'd like to see some HS recruiting be developed into starters. Seems like we get maybe one or two a class to stay until they graduate or go to the NFL. Tollison, Carnell, Roberts, Burden, Foster, Delgado, Membou. That's not a long list and I'm sure I missed a few but we're losing too many. Some will say it's just he way it is now and other teams lose players too. Why even bother to recruit HS if none of them are going to stay around and be developed into starters?hdhntr148 wrote: ↑03 Feb 2026 09:02 amtotally agree that CJ and ND safety, FL WR and MI CB all have great talent and potential to go with the more experienced players added.onemizzou wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 16:57 pmI give time portal class a B for its near term effectiveness. the staff has ided talented players who come then don't stay after one year which is insane. most of the top players we fans get all jacked up about and then last couple best of them leave. Have to figure out better retention methods and paying those who are real players to not jump into portal.
