Re: Thomas
Friedman on Saturday Headlines says Robert Thomas had surgery early this week, was a small clean-up procedure, will be out of the lineup until just after the Olympics. It's not season ending.
Friedman adds obviously this should slow down any trade conversations, and a bunch of teams that have kind of talked about it said there are not very many people in the league that can do what St. Louis might want to do here.

Wonder what he means by “said there are not very many people in the league that can do what St. Louis might want to do here.”Unfathomable wrote: ↑31 Jan 2026 20:11 pm Friedman on Saturday Headlines says Robert Thomas had surgery early this week, was a small clean-up procedure, will be out of the lineup until just after the Olympics. Why would Thomas waive NTC?

0 track record? Friedman is quite literally the biggest and best scooper in all of hockey and has been for a long while. You're tripping.blues2112 wrote: ↑31 Jan 2026 21:34 pmWhy put any stock into a guy with a virtually-zero track record?Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑31 Jan 2026 21:16 pmWonder what he means by “said there are not very many people in the league that can do what St. Louis might want to do here.”Unfathomable wrote: ↑31 Jan 2026 20:11 pm Friedman on Saturday Headlines says Robert Thomas had surgery early this week, was a small clean-up procedure, will be out of the lineup until just after the Olympics. Just means the asking price is incredibly high which it should be for a player of Thomas caliber.
