Shots fired at Army (figuratively)

Re: Shots fired at Army (figuratively)
You all are talking to a guy who spent hours searching Google images for a half-dressed Petro and posting the pics here for weeks on end. Start there and you’ll realize the type of poster you’re arguing with.

I can't believe people are still arguing that letting Petro get away wasn't a huge mistake, Army himself doesn't even agree with you.
Such an odd social reaction

Re: Shots fired at Army (figuratively)
Army never said it was a mistake. He said it was his biggest regret not having things work out. There is a BIG difference between regretting something and having the same thing happen and you choosing to do it differently. Petro was not willing to negotiate and Army wasn’t going to give mutiple signing bonuses or a NMC. If everything happened the same way, Army would do EXACTLY the same thing….as he should.
People pointing to this as being the ultimate downfall seem to forget that JBow was in many ways a bigger loss than Petro. The Blues spent 4 years trying to find partners for Parayko. If JBow doesn’t have to retire….we aren’t even having this discussion. As far as Petro being a team leader….gimme a break. Petro admitted he never picked up a stick during Covid and looked brutal in the playoffs that year. He CHOSE to leave the Blues. He refused to give in on anything. In other words, he put himself before the team. I don’t miss the guy at all. He left, it’s sooooo stupid to be crying about it 5 years later.

I’m worried about him. That doesn’t seem normal

Armstrong and Team Canada picked to lead with Crosby and McDavid. You’ve never seen that before in your life and you won’t again.
You’re one of the dumbest hockey people here lol

Don't you realize that it is against Bleedr's rules to say anything negative about his fantasy?

JBow and Parayko were THE shutdown pair of 2019 Stanley cup playoffs. They were next to impossible to score against even strength.skilles wrote: ↑29 Jan 2026 19:57 pmlol JBow in no ways was a bigger loss than PetroBubble4427 wrote: ↑29 Jan 2026 19:44 pmArmy never said it was a mistake. Petro was no slouch….he was great too. I stick by what I said. Petro was no leader. It’s no secret….JR said multiple times that Steen and Petro didn’t necessarily see eye to eye.
1. He never picked up his stick during Covid.
2. He was unwilling to negotiate on any of the terms that he was demanding
3. He skips the 4 nations tournament at the last minute and yet is able to play the first game after the tournament. He quit on his country.
Petro was a great defenseman….but he was also all about Petro.
I don’t miss him at all…..I’d love to have JBow playing next to Parayko though and helping our young defensemen…that’s for sure.

I'll save anyone the trouble if they're tempted to watch the video - the content is basically if they went to ChatGPT and said "please summarize the contents of Blues Talk".
- shouldn't have let Petro go
- how bad is it that Thomas is on the market?
- must trade Kyrou (because. . . reasons)
If you're tempted to watch it, you can definitely skip it.
We really need some new outrage around here. Here's some: why doesn't anybody blame Army for the biggest blunder ever - trading Lars Eller? Dude could have shored up 2C for 15 years for the Blues. Terrible trade.

My takeaway from the video is that the Blues keep finding themselves in the same position each winter, for several seasons, with Army making the same type of comments regarding the players.
The hosts’ conclusion was: Army built the team he should take ownership of the problems he created instead of only publicly blaming the players every season and threatening to trade a bunch of guys and firing coaches
