Yes, but there is a vast difference between add a logo of who made a jersey or shoe verses this…

There is a vast difference between add a logo of who made a jersey or shoe verses what a NASCAR driver wears.

Is it time now to officially toss out the illusion of college ball as amateur?

I think Eric Dickerson tossed that illusion, when he said he took a pay cut to join the Rams.

That’s true and the sky is blue. The comment was the NCAA approved advertisement. That’s not new, thus my post.

It won’t be like NASCAR. Football teams are now permitted a maximum of two additional commercial logo patches on their uniforms/apparel, plus one additional logo on equipment - their helmets for example for football. Each patch is limited to a maximum of 4 square inches.

For reference, the NBA introduced sponsor patches for the 2017-18 season. The NHL added helmet ads in 2021 and jersey patches for the 2022-23 season. Major League Baseball started allowing patches on helmets and jerseys starting with the 2023 season.

Let's not forget the on line gambling companies because the American male OD's on gambling on these games.

And in the not too distant future we'll have seven year "college" players being introduced as they climb out of clown cars.

They’ll look like Mexican soccer league jerseys.

The part I hate is to detract from the uniforms.

I can 100% honestly say I have never and pretty dang sure will never be influenced by this type of advertising.....albeit the possibility of subliminal which thinking about it right now I can pretty much exclude as well.

The NHL Ad rule allowance bugged me at first, and I am grateful a local entity (Enterprise I think is still doing it) is the supporter, but it is small enough and has just not been too bad of a factor once it's in place for a year or two.

I hope this is done well (small and just one) and it's a local supporter on their helmet OR jersey.
