Re: SI: blockbuster trade for Cardinals with SEA?
I would love to see this deal happen. And per baseballtradevalues.com this isn't a lopsided deal.
Having a farm with Anderson, Doyle, Mathews, Clark, Roby is bound to produce at least ONE TOR pitcher. Maybe two.
Please Seattle - be aggressive this year and go for it.

Exactly. Its time for the Cardinals to show us they have more to the plan than simply dumping salary.

No-because those are highly paid old guys with ntc. Apples to apples.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 20:03 pmDid that happen with the Gray or WillyCon trades?TopofthePerch wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 19:19 pm Btw so I understand that Kade is off limits but has the same BTV value as Donovan. I understand that people value players differently but if you're the Cardinals and you don't need to trade him why wouldn't you expect excess value in return. Sorry but it seems like the going rate in a trade usually involves an overpay by the team acquiring the proven MLB player.

Timing is everything. As for now, I doubt it’s the exact right time. Like a timing chain, just slightly off notch.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑29 Jan 2026 01:24 amExactly. Its time for the Cardinals to show us they have more to the plan than simply dumping salary.

No doubtTalkin' Baseball wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 17:22 pm Did I get this right? Zach Pressnall of Sports Illustrated wrote an article about an article Kerry Miller from Bleacher Report wrote where he dreamed up a trade proposal? This passes for news, or reporting? That seems like what we do on here everyday, except we don't call it news. Maybe we are selling ourselves short?
Next thing you know some "columnist" will be citing CT's own Shady.

All of the Cardinals storylines have gone stale. If only there was a way to shorten the offseason by 30 days...rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Jan 2026 08:49 amNo doubtTalkin' Baseball wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 17:22 pm Did I get this right? It will be nice to have spring training start though, new things to write, read, watch, think about regularly.rockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Jan 2026 09:54 amTalkin' Baseball wrote: ↑29 Jan 2026 09:52 amGotcharockondlouie wrote: ↑29 Jan 2026 09:48 amHang in there TB............First the Super Bowl, then that Thursday Pitchers & Catchers report!Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑29 Jan 2026 09:30 amAll of the Cardinals storylines have gone stale.
