So that at least means Otto hasn't given him any reason to not want to come here!

I will say this and I’m probably the only one that will mention this but there were times watching Stenberg in the WJC’s that he reminded me of Oshie and that’s a good thing to me.

Oshie was easily among my favorite prospects of all time.

I think whoever wins the first ball picks McKenna and the second ball picks Stenberg

So to get him we have to specifically draw the second ball or trade up a spot or three, which means adding another first round pick's worth of value likely which they're not really in a position to do.

When you tank into the very worst spot all you do is guarantee a top 3 pick and then you still need some luck. To guarantee a top 5 pick they have to finish bottom three. rangers positioning themselves to lose again tonight. it's a race

Little things like the way he skated with the puck entering the zone, his head up along the sideboards waiting for an outlet pass, the way he skated from the corners to the net or around the net. Just little things like that. Osh was one of my favorite players ever, I don’t usually bring out Oshie comparisons for many players.

Based on history, I have a hard time seeing them finish that low. Despite how putrid and frustrating they have been, they can still get healthy and have a strong finish after the break. We can only hope they lose out up to the break, and Army is forced to sell. Moving Faulk would likely decrease our chances of winning. If Army is serious, he makes moves like have been discussed with a Thomas for Desnoyers, Kyrou for Wright, etc. type of reset. Any moves like these done in season increase our odds of picking Ivar.

On a different note, but a similar thought, does anyone know how Vancouver ended up with the two picks (I think second and third overall) to draft the twinks right after each other? I suppose they had the second, but how did they wind up with the third. And who did the other team wind up with?

Brutal first round. Blues did well though.

It would be sweet to win the lottery then trade it to the team with the #2 pick for a nice extra haul to go with Ivar

After the Sedin sisters, was there another decent pick till 17 where we got Jackman? That was a horrible 1st round.
