Can Mizzou still get in the NCAA Tourney without winning the SEC Tourney?
Realistically. What do they need to do? Could winning 6 of their remaining 11 SEC games and at least one win in the SEC Tourney get them in?

Unless they start shooting lights out from 3-point range I can barely see them winning 5 of the last 11 games. The end of the season could get very ugly.

If they beat all but their ranked opponents they will go 12-6.
And get in.
Of course..... it won't go down that way, we all know it.
I'll just say I'm more optimistic than you on this (dire) and let the games play out. They have a path but they can't mess around.

Why can't 10 - 8 get them in.
Lunardi keeps whining about their soft non-conference schedule but remember Mizzou beat Florida, Alburn and Kentucky.
If we can win 10 games in conference, we should be in.
We play all the tough teams at home (Tenn, Texas, Vandy, and Arky). (Mizzou is tough at home)
Alabama, Arky and Texas A&M are tough road games and hoping for the best.
So Carolina and Miss State (2 games) are winnable. Oklahoma at their place will be revenge game for the Sooners.
Mizzou will have opportunities going forward.

Did you watch the OU game? We needed to TWO miracles to beat a shytty OU squad, ON OUR HOME COURT. And you think we're going to win 6 games down the stretch? Optimistic is one way to put it. Delusional is another.

yes, of course they can lol. If you end up at .500 or better in SEC play, you are getting in.

If so, it would likely be dependent upon who the 8 wins were against.clemonsonroots wrote: ↑26 Jan 2026 20:25 pm yes, of course they can lol. If you end up at .500 or better in SEC play, you are getting in.

It would be more like 9 or 10 wins as I believe there are 18 conference games. Basically, we win 5 or 6 more games, we are a lock to be in- conference tourney or not.dhsux wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 09:50 amIf so, it would likely be dependent upon who the 8 wins were against.clemonsonroots wrote: ↑26 Jan 2026 20:25 pm yes, of course they can lol. Mizzou's performance against Alabama with their reconfigured and better starting lineup might give us some indication of their potential the rest of the season.

I don't know. Bad nights happen. Having a pro on your roster helps. I think it's a bubble team. Its messy. They wont make a run if they get in. Got some great recruits coming in...next year has to be impressive.California Cardinal Fan wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 15:40 pm Mizzou's performance against Alabama with their reconfigured and better starting lineup might give us some indication of their potential the rest of the season.

The OU game was plenty of an indication of our "potential" and the Bama game was just more of the same. I was somewhat hopeful after seeing how they player Florida nd Kentucky but since then they have fallen apart. Ant is a disaster, Pierce has pretty much faded into the background. Outside of Mitchell, Barrett, and Stone there isn't much in the cupboard. I like Crews but he's just not getting anything done offensively or defensively.California Cardinal Fan wrote: ↑27 Jan 2026 15:40 pm Mizzou's performance against Alabama with their reconfigured and better starting lineup might give us some indication of their potential the rest of the season.

They are a NIT program and that's where they will get "in".
