Dvorsky will get there, I am least worried about him. I have seen too much in too many small moments not to know where he's headed with this thing.
Dvorsky, let's say two Stenbergs, Snuggerud, Carbonneau, Stancl. to me these are a serious infusion of legitimate talent that's part of the solution. but the fact is we have to wait a bit. The good news is it seems very fluid throughout the league as to a team rising or falling with a handful of key changes. Few teams are locked into being terrible or being great. Fans all over the league have to be horrified with their middling teams and inconsistency.

Add in the vets. Thomas, Neighbours, and Kyrou. That could be a legit top 9. It could also end with just one top line. As none project to be first liners. Outside a top three this year.seattleblue wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 12:22 pm Dvorsky will get there, I am least worried about him. Devo’s skating is about as good as its gonna get at this point with him working on it alot from before his draft year up till today. It looks like it’s improved a little but I dont think it’ll hinder him from being a fine #2 C.diehardbluesfan1 wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 08:29 am We may suck right now but I do love watching dvo stenberg and Snuggy play and get more time.
If dvo works on his skating he could really be special.
Am I the only one that thinks stenberg could be the best of all three?
Id bet ASOGG’s left labia that Stenberg ends up being an excellent Swede army knife, but highly doubt he turns out better than Dd and JS, at least as far as scoring.
Just my opined text.

Neighbours Suter Carbonneau
Walker Bjugstad Torop

This is a forward group, when healthy, I could really get behind. In the "way to early to hope for" category is my next statement: but I hope Dvorsky overtakes Thomas as the #1C. Put Thomas where he belongs on a contending team as the 2C. Maybe wishful thinking.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 11:49 amDD is on a 16 goal pace over 82 games not bad at all for a 20 yr old center in a [shirt]ty team.

If that’s the players we’re stuck with for a hypothetical lineup card, I think id prefer..TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 12:54 pmLove it HarryHarry S Deals wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 11:49 amDD is on a 16 goal pace over 82 games not bad at all for a 20 yr old center in a [shirt]ty team.

Get a bunch of shooters on that second line and let em grip it and rip it instead of the constant passin for the perfect shot [nonsense].
Just noticed no Buch on them lines tho, so that’s an automatic improvement.

I'm afraid Buch and Kyrou are probably both back next year. It is what it is I do trust Monty in the fact that IF a kid is performing he's going to play even if it's over a big contract veteran
.
Keep getting Snuggerud, Mailloux, Dvorsky, Stenberg reps this year so hopefully next year the team can score some goals

I don't see any reason not to have them back unless someone offers a premium.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 14:28 pm I'm afraid Buch and Kyrou are probably both back next year. I think Blues fans are underrating Dvorskys playmaking ability. He may be tied with Thomas as the Blues best passer who knows he may be better. He is also graced with an elite shot. Gonna be a fun player for fans to watch for yearsSameOldBlues wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 13:53 pmIf that’s the players we’re stuck with for a hypothetical lineup card, I think id prefer..TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 12:54 pmLove it HarryHarry S Deals wrote: ↑25 Jan 2026 11:49 amDD is on a 16 goal pace over 82 games not bad at all for a 20 yr old center in a [shirt]ty team.

Not seeing that. On a line with Stenberg and Kyrou he's the 3rd best. He makes generally good passes but there's more to being an effective playmaing passer than the pass itself. He's not a puck carrier or guy who works his feet to maintain puck control and create passing lanes, he's generally a quick one-touch shoot or pass player who is often trailing the play.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑26 Jan 2026 09:34 amI think Blues fans are underrating Dvorskys playmaking ability. Edit: Which is why that line is showing a spark, they complement each other.

To me it's Snuggles that's a criminally underrated passer.DawgDad wrote: ↑26 Jan 2026 10:52 amNot seeing that. On a line with Stenberg and Kyrou he's the 3rd best. He has the skill, but the skate speed is a problemDawgDad wrote: ↑26 Jan 2026 10:52 amNot seeing that. On a line with Stenberg and Kyrou he's the 3rd best. Not really at all. He'll be fine he is producing well now, he gets around fine and his agility will improve over time.Bacchk29 wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 07:52 amHe has the skill, but the skate speed is a problemDawgDad wrote: ↑26 Jan 2026 10:52 amNot seeing that. Two helpers last night IIRC - I agree, definitely a bright spot in an otherwise frustrating loss.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑28 Jan 2026 07:36 am Dont look now, Dvorsky points in 4 straight, +3 6 Hits over that span including 3 Hits last night. 60% FO, in 19:22.
