What will be fan reaction to Bloom at home opener introduction ?

Post by ramfandan »

The last couple years Mo had quite a few boo birds greet his introduction. Don't know what percentage of the total crowd did that but everyone knows that the ' BOOO ' sound certainly drowns out any polite applause by others.
How do you think Chiam Bloom will be received this year ?

I think he will mostly be cheered. I think fans understand this is a rebuild which is a necessity caused by several poor years under Mozeliak.

I think so too and sure quite a few may give him a warm welcome with a standing ovation. Whether some specific trades are to their liking , think many fans appreciate the fact he is doing what he told the fanbase from the outset. They like that about him.

He will be cheered bc he hasn’t lost any games, had any bad seasons, had any traded players succeed nor traded for players fail. That will come with time so he should enjoy the honeymoon while it lasts.

Mo did a great job while he was here and it got away from him at the end due to the lost draft picks, pandemic, and other teams catching up. He went from leading to chasing which is a tough place to be. It was time for a change in order to reset the org.

Excellent, post ! Yes, and when starting lineups are introduced (and JJ is in it ) , he will get great welcome too.
Sure he will get a standing ovation for his first major league at bat .. Cardinal fans are great welcoming new players and will especailly be excited for our No. 1 prospect.

I'm in Section 148 and I'm guessing he'll get a positive response...people were sick of Mo-ran so anybody will be an improvement...but the game may not be a sellout.

Most likely Bloom will be applauded, but might be different for the DeWitts!
With Bloom, a lot is yet to be determined. No one knows how his moves are going to turn out yet, or what other moves are yet to come.

One thing I give DeWitt's credit for with Bloom takeover is that Bloom convinced them to pick up more $$$$ in trading away the older vet contracts so he could get some return prospects . Previously , they would not but Bloom convinced them that it was better for the team in long run and they agreed to it and all are on the same page now. That was expressed at the Winter Meeting Warm Up . I know there was stubborness previously but give them credit now for supporting their new POBO's plan.

I think the relief of Mo being gone + C. Bloom thus far doing exactly what he said he'd be doing while communicating in a straight manner w/the fan base results in a standing ovation.

All of my fellow upbeat, positive co-fans in Section 148 will be on their feet cheering for the players, the Cardinal brass, for all the Hall of Famers, and for the Clydesdales. Just like they do every year. Opening Day in St. Louis is special.

Why would you say something silly like that, Red. You're a long time Cardinal fan and know what a special day
that is in St. Louis every year.

You know darn well what your intent was with section 148. A person you claim to have on ignore. Yes, it was strictly a troll post.

It depends on if the two fans that show up are bloom fans or not
