Way to far fetched.
Blues trade Thomas, Kyrou. Kessel, 2nd, 3rd
to Rangers for Trocheck and Lafreniere and 2 1sts.
or 3 team deal ?
Lafreniere is a nice player. (flip him to Montreal for Hage and Reinbacher)
Trochek is an awesome mentor.
1st rounder could be top 5 pick!
Hage, Dvorsky, Stenberg, Neighbours , Snuggerud, Carbonneau, Berggren, Suter, Buchnevich(UNMOVEABLE), Holloway, Bjugstadt, Toropchenko, Walker
Mailloux, Broberg, Parayko, Tucker, Fowler, Lindstein, Reinbacher
Hofer
Move Kyrou, Thomas, Joseph, Sunny, Faulk, Kessel, Binner, Schenn
4 firsts over next 2 years.
Re-make the team

Re: Re-make the team
Yes, so I'm shortening.
Agree on many things, and I am probably open to everything you said happening.
I would trade Kyrou and Buch by the TDL, but don't expect contracts like those to move in-season. Like you said, if someone will take him...
Faulk needs to move ASAP. Before this happens again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbZFS28IU9o
-Can he really bring a top prospect and/or a 1st rounder? I want to find out immediately.
Schenn - I want to keep him and let him retire here, OR trade him to where he wants to go. Rumor is he wants to play with his brother, who will be a UFA. I say sign Luke, who we should've acquired at some point over the years anyways. Not sure a trade with WIN is in the works during the season, but I'd give them a late rounder for him.
As mentioned, Kyrou/Buch, yes trade them now if you can, but definitely trade Kyrou this offseason.
Thomas would have to be a haul, and likely in the offseason. I would not cry if Thomas and Kyrou were both traded this offseason under Steen's leadership. Or by this TDL by Army for that matter
Cap space doesn't seem to be an issue going forward, and there are little to no upcoming UFAs worth dumping money or winning a bidding war on this offseason. I don't see any reason to dump players just for cap space. Maybe roster space.
I would like to keep Berggren (RFA) and Fabbri.
Bjugstad is earning his paycheck out there, and while I'd be fine trading off any of these types of guys, I've come to respect his play and put him on my keep list unless someone offers a lot. Suter is similar, and I also think it's not a good look to trade guys you just signed.
I like Joseph and Walker, but would rather see Stancl, Pekarcik, Dean, Kaskimaki, Peterson, etc.
Sunny's my boy. Keep him around somehow. (Bortz is back in town btw). I'd try to go for Schwartz and Perron for everything this team is missing, no matter how old they are. (David said he will age like fine wine)
Could accidentally end up with a lineup like this next season:
Holloway-Thomas-Snuggerud
Schwartz-Schenn-Neighbours
Stenberg-Dvorsky-Stenberg/Perron/Carbonneau
Toro-Suter-Bjugstad/Berggren
Fowler-Parayko
Broberg-Mailloux
Lindstein-Jiricek/Kessel/Tucker
Oh and keep Binner
