I am an Illini fan for 75 years. Indiana beat us badly this year, but they beat a lot of teams badly. This team is one of the most talented all-around teams I have ever witnessed including Alabama. Paul Finebaum of the SEC totally ignored the great accomplishments of the National champion Hoosiers. The SEC the so-called power conference has not won a Natty in the last 3 years. It has been dominated by the BIG CONFERENCE. The selection committee put Alabama in the playoffs strictly by name they had lost 3 games did not deserve to be there period and Indiana demolished them as a nobody. Finebaum is a hack biased reporter and demonstrated he knows nothing by his lack of respect for this unbeaten Indiana champion.
I also want to call out the referees for many missed holding calls. The 2nd Miami touchdown came around right end with the side judge in perfect position to see the Miam tight end hold the Indiana defensive end by the collar and no call. How about Miami targeting Menendez to the face causing his mouth to bleed and no call. How about at the end of the game and the Miami running back taking 2 swings at an Indiana player or the total disrespect and unsportsman like conduct of Beck walking off the field without shaking hands.
Miami was good but I thought they played dirty.

Re: National Championship
Alabama could go 5-6 and still get a CFP invite. That's just the way it is.
I just hope BB can figure out how to recruit an O-line like IN had this year.

Re: National Championship
The mighty SEC teams went a combined 4-10 in CFP and Bowl games this season. Texas beat Michigan, Ole Miss beat Tulane and SEC champion Georgia, and Alabama beat fellow SEC member Oklahoma. LSU, MSU, A&M, Vandy, Tennessee, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Alabama also were losers. Finebaum and the rest of the SEC faithful can continue with their claims of superiority, but the results are proving them wrong.
