Bottom six needs to be younger and faster
Demoralizing saves not made, 89th in Goals Saved Above Expected (Binnie, ouch)
Need more pace, not '19 style
Good overall although i am not a yuuge fan of Karaker
Some good points from Mayers

Re: Some good points from Mayers
I listened to this over the weekend. I like the points mayers makes. I agree with the speed of tge bottom 6. Speed and tenacity helps a solid forecheck and good things happen.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑21 Jan 2026 12:09 pm https://youtu.be/3C9EFIZSeSY?si=GKwzmu8wKA7cX869

I think if all things pan out the way we think they may there will be an injection of better, younger talent. Who knows if this results in more points as a team but hopefully a better product and a clear trajectory around young playersYounghopp1991 wrote: ↑21 Jan 2026 12:13 pmI listened to this over the weekend. Kaskimaki, Stenberg, Dean
Jiricek, Lindstein
These guys alone can better the bottom six next year and the lack luster D.
Not too mention with Hofer 100% full time goalie
Plus i imagine there are other moves coming we cannot predict
Re: Some good points from Mayers
I strongly suspect your near-term expectations are too high. Look at the performance of the current group of younger players and prospects with the Blues. There is no Celebrini in the organization. It's going to take time.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑21 Jan 2026 12:28 pmI think if all things pan out the way we think they may there will be an injection of better, younger talent. I dont think i have expectations its too early to even guess whos on next years roster but im pretty sure we will see younger more exciting players replacing older JAG types. How much success that team will have who knowsDawgDad wrote: ↑21 Jan 2026 12:34 pmI strongly suspect your near-term expectations are too high. So what do we do to fix the top 6?
That's the real problem.

As it stands today the hope would be that Snuggerud, Holloway, Stenberg can progress. Can Carbonneau break thru? What if the Blues draft Ivar he could potentially play right away. Can Kyrou and Thomas recover back to their career norms? Will the Blues make a UFA signing this seems unlikely to me
