Beck graduated 2 years ago and enrolled as a grad student but never attended a class at Miami this season. He said he was looking to pursue another degree but decided against it.

Yes, the NFL has younger players than 'college' football. I blame Saban for much of the current whoredom - a big fraud pushed by a very greedy man.

You can call me an old man if you wish, but I think college football players should go to class. The association with the college is what makes people care about the team in the first place. If you don't want to be a student, see if the UFL will let you play (they should).

As more schools follow Utah and sell off its athletic department, sports will keep getting more disassociated with college. They will be linked in name only. I am just waiting for the lawsuit that breaks the NCAAs ability to have kids only stay for 4 yrs. There are 49 players asking for an additional year and we are one lawsuit away from kids being able to stay associated with a college in perpetuity. I mean if they are not going to class what is the significance of 4yrs of eligibility. Why not make it uncapped and have a semi pro league that is associated with schools.
