This isn't a rumor, it's wish listing from a random blogger. But the writer has it correct, the cost would be very high and these teams aren't much of a match for this kind of deal. No interest in Michkov and the deal doesn't happen without Martone coming back the Blues way.

My guess is that, if traded, Thomas will go to a contender in need of a veteran 2C.

The return will be commensurate with the value:
- Will Thomas tilt the ice toward a Cup win?
- Will Thomas be their 2C with no other alternative on the bench (due to injury or whatever reason)
- Does the receiving team have a veteran player that will enable Army to win a few more meaningless games in the regular season this year

Forget draft picks in return. Army doesn't even want them because that would be nothing but an embarrassment to him. Too many fans would ask why other teams get great picks from a SELL, and we get a Round 2, etc?

If there a place in STL that does Cheesesteaks up to the quality of Philly? It's one of the regional dishes I like the most, but hard to find. Columbus Ohio has an amazing place. Anyone know of any? Any other regional dishes that STL has a spot that they excel at?

I don't know...Martone seems like kind of a (bleep) and his skating did not impress me in the WJCs. I don't know that I'd love getting him in exchange for Thomas' current contract.

Count me on the Martone bandwagon...dude is going to have a great career in the NHL. We'd have to figure out who the hell is going to play center, but if Martone is part of the package coming back for Thomas, I'm listening.

I am not the biggest Martone fan but i do believe he will score in the NHL on a consistent basis. If Thomas was to be traded , he absolutely is the main guy you ask for. Not sold on Luchanko at all. I’d take Nesbitt over Luchanko. Regardless it would have to be a haul. Flyers have the pieces for any deal though.
