Re: Missouri - LSU
Instead of bringing Porter and Northweather and Mack Gates needed to bring in a PG to push Robinson.
Barrett.wil get better but he shouldn't be playing 20 plus minutes at this point.

Lower half of the conference, no NCAA appearance. Gates has assembled and coached up a team that has no upside beyond what we have already seen. 7 conference wins is the likelihood, but they might just as easily go winless the rest of the way, maybe beating S. Carolina. All of the good possibilities I thought they might gave were daydreams.

I think Gates sent him a message, hope it takes. Need his skills, but not the brain dead play he has shown the last few games.

Re: Missouri - LSU
We couldn't catch a break the first half. Every bounce went LSU's way. LSU would get down to one second on the shot clock & throw something up that would somehow go in. We didn't help ourselves out either. Twice hard rebounds bounced off Pierce's hands out-of-bounds. Barrett led the team with 5 RB's. WT_! We didn't give up, but that missed open 3 by Crews was the nail in the coffin. He has been bad lately. He's a good 3-point shooter when he's open, but hasn't been open. Since he hasn't gotten open looks, he's forced shots & hasn't been close. Why he hasn't learned not to leave his feet when defending the three is bewildering. I guess the magical 70 plateau wasn't magic today.

Poor recruiting, poor talent evaluation, and poor coaching is not a recipe for success.MizzouMarv wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 17:08 pm We couldn't catch a break the first half. Every bounce went LSU's way. Did they explain what happened when LSU didn't get the ball over half-court in 10 seconds? They had a timeout, but after they took the ball out again the "score bug" still showed they had one left. Was that just an error?
Re: Missouri - LSU
Can't get invested in Gates"s sh e et show. First Drink cr a pping the bed, now Gates. MU first win for two winless SEC teams.

Re: Missouri - LSU
Once again,he had Randall, TO, and Boateng on the court at the same time. That cannot happen if you’re looking to score points. 3 bricklayers who play hard but just aren’t skilled players. It’s ju#t mesmerizing that the head coach cannot see that lineup is disastrous. Might as well throw up the white flag if that’s 60% of your lineup.
Re: Missouri - LSU
Really want to like the kid but he has 2 or 3 screws that come loose at the worst possible times. He is clearly not a mature thinker/point player.
It's getting ridiculous because of the magnitude of misjudgements of his own capabilities and apparently learning little as time goes by.
Re: Missouri - LSU
They could never recover from that 10-0 start.
