Not sure what’s going through your head. But you’re too important to this team to play the way you are. We’re going to be as good as you are the rest of the season.
Please kid, we need you. Max effort and focus in all facets the rest of the season. Love you.

He's not really a point guard in the true sense and he's not a good enough shooter to be a 2.
Probably better suited to come off the bench and provide energy, a spark on a team that has more consistency at the position.

Arky not looking well late against Georgia. Down ten with 2 minutes 17 seconds, even with the huge numbers of highly recruited studs. Hoping Anthony gets the message. As you said, we need him at his best.

There’s truth to that. In this team, when he’s playing to his potential, we need him to have the ball in his hands though. Next year, that’s exactly the player Crowe and frankly Chronister will be, as freshmen. This year, we just don’t have those guys. TO, if he’s creating for teammates, is doing very good at what he is good at. But with Robinson being a no show so much, the ball is in TO’s hands a little too much. He’s a fantastic backup PG and complementary guard. But he’s not good enough to have the ball in his hands when we need a basket. Robinson can handle the ball, get to the basket and score or shoot the 3 (or mid range). He’s just playing like his head’s not in it for some reason.11WSChamps wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 16:59 pmHe's a tweener.Armchair QB wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 16:54 pm Not sure what’s going through your head. He's just not that good. End of story.

I think Ant is a decent shooter, but a very reluctant shooter. He seems hesitant to take a shot lately, even when he is open. At least that is how I see it.11WSChamps wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 16:59 pmHe's a tweener.Armchair QB wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 16:54 pm Not sure what’s going through your head. It doesn't help when Gates benches him for essentially a whole half and overexposes Barrett. Barrett works hard and tries his butt off, but he is not a 25+ minute starting PG at this level.
We are missing a wing 3 who can handle the rock and essentially be a point forward, thus taking floor general pressure off of Ant full time. Crews is eating up that 3 spot, and he doesn't have the skillset needed.

Gates just messed up by recruiting players that don't fit his offensive style. - Example - MackBasil Shabazz wrote: ↑19 Jan 2026 15:21 pm It doesn't help when Gates benches him for essentially a whole half and overexposes Barrett. And why did Gates even consider Porter!
Jevon Porter ended up just like his brother - bad back and useless to the Tigers.
He is getting players that are virtually useless to Mizzou.
And we were led to believe we have a deep team. Well, it keeps shrinking by the day.
