Drury went all Jerry Maguire writing that letter to the fans. Just a matter of time before Bob Sugar takes him out to lunch.

Declaring you aren’t going to resign him seems like a good way to hurt Panarin’s trade value.

Doesn’t matter either way. He’s a 34 year old rental.Frank Underwood wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026 19:23 pm Declaring you aren’t going to resign him seems like a good way to hurt Panarin’s trade value.

Expect there to be a lot of sellers at the deadline mostly bc of the Avs dominance and numerous teams underperforming. Army would be better off getting a deal done earlier than later.

I agree with this to a point. Maybe 5 teams have a real chance as it sits this year with 2-3 being elite.juan good eye wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026 20:47 pm Expect there to be a lot of sellers at the deadline mostly bc of the Avs dominance and numerous teams underperforming. Montreal and Detroit could be scary tho with a good acquisition

Injuries really killing the Panthers. They’re gonna struggle to make the playoffs.diehardbluesfan1 wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026 21:06 pmI agree with this to a point. I agree with you and juan good eye's good post. The one gamble about going early, is with the tight standings this year, if there are any draft picks considered to be part of a deal, then they could end up becoming in a very wide range standing/value come the day of the draft.diehardbluesfan1 wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026 21:06 pmI agree with this to a point. Actually all of the posts with the exception of theograce's have been good on this thread.
Further thought: I would pass on Panarin's age. But Laferriere could be a good change of scenery...or he could be another Jonathan Drouin?

Its hard to believe laderriere was a #1 pick. Hes still only 24 but jeeze.Old_Goat wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 08:12 amI agree with you and juan good eye's good post. Re: Rangers not resigning Panarin; Laferriere on the table
I've got it.
We can liberate him from the Bread Man title by bringing him home to what we all know truly as Breadco. The St. Louis Bread Company. NOT the lie he's been told about that other company branding...
I didn't read the letter, but Panarin-Thomas would really be fantastic, no matter how old he is. Changes the PP completely. Try to extend him for several seasons.
I might take a flyer on Laffy, but that is a heck of a contract to bet on (though still tradeable). I suppose I could see it happening, perhaps rightfully so, way more than I see Panarin being added. But man, a guy like him is what this team needs. A True bonafide playmaking stud. Needs no other assistance. Makes everyone around him better. Threat every time he's on the ice that other teams have to key on, but finds people wide open...

Re: Rangers not resigning Panarin; Laferriere on the table
I think he would be a really good player for this team, but I fear the price tag would be outrageous, even though he hasn't lived up to his #1 overall pick potential. I'd swap Kyrou in a heartbeat for him, but guessing we would have to add in that deal. Not sure his real value, with his best season being right around 60 points IIRC. Either way, I think he'd be a good fit depending on what it would take to acquire him.Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 08:44 amIts hard to believe laderriere was a #1 pick. Nah im good on that. Im not trading kyrou for someone that has yet to put up 60pts and makes 500k less. He MAY play better here, but why would you chance that?TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 08:57 amI think he would be a really good player for this team, but I fear the price tag would be outrageous, even though he hasn't lived up to his #1 overall pick potential. You would trade THOMAS for PANARIN? Five years ago, sure. Panarin almost certainly would not play for the Blues anyway. He's stated in the past he only wants to play on the east coast.zamadoo wrote: ↑17 Jan 2026 08:54 am I've got it.
