Yea he made a breakout pass and then the d changed.
Another example of where +/- stat has some flaws. It’s a good indicator for a player, but definitely has flaws, especially for players on a horrid 6 on 5 team like the Blues who give up a lot ENGs

For sure. It’s a tool and over the long run it tends to even out for stuff like this, but it can’t be the sole indicator

A player's +/- that's relative to his team's scoring and defending tendencies would be far more indicative of his actual score than the archaic system by which this attribute is discerned.
