Broberg out? Who fills in?

Re: Broberg out? Who fills in?
I guess the 100% guarantee from bleedr that it was a concussion might have been a little premature

Re: Broberg out? Who fills in?
Excellent screen shot. I would call it a slew foot for sure, but I also see this type of check happen a few times each game. The NHL just doesn’t call these.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026 14:05 pmYou got it all right....and broke it down clearly.Chris2fer wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026 12:03 pm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_nfwTrg6L4
Not the best video, but shows the point. Sure as hell looks like Stone lifted his left leg with the intent of slewing him.
Here's a still showing exactly where Stone's left leg was. His knee was dug into Broberg's right thigh. In the video you then see Stone's left arm pushing him down, akin to more of a wrestling move than a hockey play. Broberg's right leg then was unable to stay under him. I'm surprised he wasn't hurt more than he was.
Anything other than seeing this as a slew foot is exactly what it is: trolling.
This is a dirty play every day of the week. If he keeps his leg down, he could have had the same result: Broberg stapled to the boards, without the concussion.
Until someone does something like that to Marner or Eichel, nothing will change.
Thank you.
At least Broberg was man enough to no let Stone sit on him for 10 seconds and then have Stone use his face to get up.
Still THE most embarrassing moment from any blues captain I’ve seen in my lifetime.
Again, thanks for the screenshot and your correct interpretation.

Didn’t mean to make you mad, just find it funny when you make statements like you are on the inside ( 100% guarantee). Incidentally, I thought you were right at the time.

2026 and people don’t understand what a concussion is…in a hockey forum

What the hell, I'm in a good mood after that game so I will try again
While I have had a few hockey related concussions, that has no bearing on this discussion
YES Broberg was in concussion protocol for all of the reasons you posted earlier. If he had been diagnosed with a concussion, the usual best case scenario is a week or two on IR, instead he was back in a few days, so shockingly, no concussion, even though many thought he had suffered a concussion (you and I included) that would keep him out for a bit.
have a good night

No one knows what a concussion is and no one understands physics.
Aren't you all getting the message?

Return vs TBL led team with 25:15 +2.
Re: Broberg out? Who fills in?
Diagnosed? You didn’t diagnose him with one when his nervous system shut down and went offline? Or are all concussions based on symptoms afterwards that are always the same…right?fish wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026 22:39 pmWhat the hell, I'm in a good mood after that game so I will try again

He could develop more symptoms tomorrow or never…but he was concussed. Helpful?
Re: Broberg out? Who fills in?
I rewatched much of the game. That was a statement game by Broberg, quite an effort. He was on the ice for the 5-on-3 GA but that was a perfect setup play and shot by guys who have done that for a long time.
I hope this Stone hit was all just a scare. Philip is already a leader on this team and he can still get better, do even more. I expect he will.

Re: Broberg out? Who fills in?
Anyone who knows hockey saw Broberg's potential in the Finals two years ago. He took over shifts, occasionally.
The problem here is the hierarchy already in place above him. Parayko, Fowler, and Faulk have been named to All-Star teams. Even with his incredible gifts, Broberg is the new kid, and he needed to make his bones.
