I’ve been a loyal follower of Bell’s Hopslam for close to twenty years. The annual early year release moved to the fall a few years ago. I don’t think they’re releasing it this year. It appears they’ve offered this version (16oz) in its place.

It’s good but it’s not The Hopslam.

Got a 4 pack of the latest Hopslam release. I think that you can find much better double IPAs these days, but it is the first really hoppy beer that I liked and eventually got me into the hoppy beers in the first place. I always grab some when it comes out and it's always good.

New 16oz cans this year too.

I don’t think this years is a particularly good release. I’ve had two along with an old 2024 version and the previous release even after 15 months tastes better.

I do like that they crammed four more ounces into a can. That’s brilliant engineering!
