Dreger stating Blues are willing to trade Thomas
On a number of levels it doesn’t make sense, but in some ways maybe … I mean they have questioned his heart in the past.
Who would want to play for this club right now in this city … such a mess.
You can’t get much for Kyrou, Buchnevich or Binnington.

Why did you say "in this city??
Why did you say such a mess?
The Blues are a proud successful organization. We made the playoffs last year and this year is a bummer but its not a cluster f%k
Its not that bad.
The city--I love St. Louis. Its a great city. Many players love it here and stay here.
Thomas may be traded if its a great offer. Otherwise no need to trade him.
Re: Dreger stating Blues are willing to trade Thomas
Unless it is a massive trade or a very very high draft pick coming back, I can't see any world where trading him makes sense. His contract is reasonable. He is still relatively young. He can play in most any situation. He isn't elite but is still the best player on this team.

I can’t see the Blues trading Thomas unless it’s for a package similar to what Hughes fetched.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑15 Jan 2026 15:47 pm Unless it is a massive trade or a very very high draft pick coming back, I can't see any world where trading him makes sense. Maybe … he’s doesn’t have the value of Hughes though. He just doesn’t. I think this is right though. I wonder what impact Army's non-selection of Thomas for the Olympics had on Thomas.
I suspect that Army told him that his chances weren't good before the season, and I suspect Thomas was very disappointed about that.

It is important to note that no one has mentioned that Thomas may WANT OUT. It's happened before.
Ok. I'm done commenting. You can take your head out of the sand now.

The Blues are willing to trade Robert Thomas if the return is massive. There I explained it.

Re: Dreger stating Blues are willing to trade Thomas
Thomas is more of a Volkswagen though. Craig Berube questioned his heart. Re: Dreger stating Blues are willing to trade Thomas
Thomas will not be named Captain, which is an issue. Can see how the Blues are really considering this and dangling him. Plus Kyrou return has to be at an all time low.
