This was probably the most enjoyable game to listen to on Espn plus. TJ Oshie between the bench with Buccigross in the booth. Kept up with the game an had good interviews with Javkman and Steener.

Re: broadcasters
I did enjoy the in game interviews.
Re: broadcasters
TJ did a really nice job. When did he start that up?
I can't believe that pro Blues format and unbalanced air time was piped into the Canes market. I'm guessing they had 2 crews working?

Re: broadcasters
Oshie is obviously very inexperienced at this. He was not really that good, but he will improve.
Re: broadcasters
Yea for real. It was like a 3 hour Blues / STL gush fest. Fine by me but Canes fans couldn’t have enjoyed that very much combined with the game itself.
Also agree with aslord that Oshie was very rough around the edges for a national broadcast but it isn’t easy. He’s got good charisma for it.

Osh was a little rough but he will get better. He was also interviewing his long time roommate. Probably hard to separate the friendship and the job.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑15 Jan 2026 07:03 amYea for real. Re: broadcasters
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the stories and he’s a fun guy. The Parayko broken stick was a good insight too. But yea, he just needs polishing for a national broadcast. He’d be great locally already.Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑15 Jan 2026 07:10 amOsh was a little rough but he will get better. He was also interviewing his long time roommate. Re: broadcasters
Buccigross has also always been partial to the Blues and STL for whatever reason.

That’s a hard job but TJ will get there. He knows what to say, he just struggled to put it together at times in a professional way . He will get there though, still hate that he left the way he did. He would have been a great guy to have around the Blues organization long after his career. Without a doubt one of my favorite players of all time.
I still remember watching the draft tracker on my pc in 2005….no tv coverage that year and saw the name Timothy Oshie pop up. I was like “what in hell?” Good times in the forum that day

I can see him finding his way back here since Lauren is from here and as far as I know her family is still here.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑15 Jan 2026 07:49 am That’s a hard job but TJ will get there. Maybe Minnesota.
Re: broadcasters
It was a meltdown! Who? He turned out ok. I will say, I have never seen a player hit the ice so often. Sometimes it looked he was just learning how to skate at least once a game when he was with us. Not sure I saw as much of that when I watched the Caps play for whatever reason.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑15 Jan 2026 07:49 am That’s a hard job but TJ will get there.
