blackinkbiz, this is not criticism of you at all, just pointing out how much [nonsense] gets passed here without merit and never coming to fruition, ala Quinn Hughes slam dunk headed to Devils.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑17 Dec 2025 12:09 pm 101ESPN just said they think Torop is the first to be traded because BK and Ferrario, apparently, think he's the most expendable and easily replaced.
If I were a GM, and the Blues truly view Torop as nothing more than a 4th-line winger, I'd be all over trying to get this kid.
Turned 26 this summer, has already proven he's a capable goal scorer if given the opportunity, and has the rare combination of speed, size, agility, and ability. IMO he undoubtedly has 3rd-line capability (and potentially higher) so I'd hate to see him given away for nothing but a JAG 4th-liner in return.

Amen to both of you.LGB73 wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 14:41 pmVery few teams win the Cup without being difficult to play against physically.Blues Dave wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 14:17 pm We needed every thumper and grinder we had in 2019 to win the Cup. On the other hand, although we had a dispicable coach/gm that we couldn't change from a Blackhawk to a Blue, we couldn't do diddle when we had Hull and Gretzky. That's not a comparison. We had to smash the other teams to win the Cup, but it worked, St.Louis style. And it was pretty damm fun too.

I’m glad they re-signed him and that he wants to play here for the next couple of years.
The return for trading him likely wouldn’t have made sense in the big scheme anyway.
