Decent defense so far otherwise we’d be down by a big number.

Trouble scoring, so the answer is never to pass the ball to Stone and bring in Northweather, Randall and Boateng.

I just don’t get Gates’ affection for Phillips.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:27 pmI have a bit more patience with a freshman, Phillips is a senior and plays like a freshman.straight out of st louis robert ave wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:23 pmRandall tries but he is just not ready yet! Settling down a little now. Need to keep the guys who are playing well on the floor.

Boateng is another one, he's a zero.Armchair QB wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:31 pmI just don’t get Gates’ affection for Phillips.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:27 pmI have a bit more patience with a freshman, Phillips is a senior and plays like a freshman.straight out of st louis robert ave wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:23 pmRandall tries but he is just not ready yet! You can't teach seven foot tall. And I don't think you can teach Phillips either.Armchair QB wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:31 pmI just don’t get Gates’ affection for Phillips.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:27 pmI have a bit more patience with a freshman, Phillips is a senior and plays like a freshman.straight out of st louis robert ave wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:23 pmRandall tries but he is just not ready yet! Seems most of you want fewer minutes for Boateng. I want more. I like his athletism and aggression on defense. He's gonna be good.

He may just never be a scorer at this level. Not enough game. He is however a good enough athlete that if he commits to defense and rebounding he could be a contributor.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:33 pmBoateng is another one, he's a zero.Armchair QB wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:31 pmI just don’t get Gates’ affection for Phillips.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:27 pmI have a bit more patience with a freshman, Phillips is a senior and plays like a freshman.straight out of st louis robert ave wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:23 pmRandall tries but he is just not ready yet! When is Coach ever going to tell Mitchell that he can’t shoot anymore 3s. It’s like a kid in grade school. He makes one out of ten and when he does make that one 3 he looks at the coach and says “see, I told you I could make 3s”.

Pierce feeling it tonight, but overall he shoots the three the same as Mitchell, but I agree.Whatashame wrote: ↑14 Jan 2026 18:35 pm When is Coach ever going to tell Mitchell that he can’t shoot anymore 3s. Rod, there is no comparison. Pierce has a beautiful shot and release. Mitchell shoots the 3 like he’s actually right handed. Just watch the 2 shoot the ball. Fundamentally they’re not close.
